The scheduling process for PRK, FemtoLysic, and FemtoSmile procedures at a glance
- Get an appointment through the methods mentioned above.
- Patient admission by IPD expert
- Visit the cashier and pay the fees
- Performing optometry and paraclinical tests (preoperative diagnostic tests)
- Examination by an ophthalmologist and receipt of a prescription for surgery
What steps should patients who are candidates for refractive surgery take?
- After admission, the patient, along with the hospital interpreter, goes to the cashier to pay the treatment costs in "dollars" or "euro" (to facilitate the patients' work). After this step, the first stage of treatment is to receive optometry and paraclinical imaging services; then the patient goes to the doctor's room with the hospital interpreter and, after being examined and receiving the operation plan, goes to the LASIK appointment section to determine the time of the operation.
According to the schedule, the patient will be accompanied by a special hospital interpreter during and after the LASIK procedure, as well as when visiting the pharmacy and receiving medications. The interpreter will also translate the patient's medication orders and the doctor's recommendations after the procedure and remind the patient of the follow-ups (post-operative examinations). This process will continue until the end of the treatment.

- Make an appointment via the website, contact an IPD expert, WhatsApp, etc.
- Complete the admission and payment procedures
- Optometry, pre-surgery paraclinical tests, and examination by an ophthalmologist
- Receive orders for surgery and set the date of surgery

What steps should patients who are candidates for cataract surgery or any other intraocular procedure take?
After admission, the patient goes to the cashier with the hospital interpreter to pay the treatment costs in "dollars" or "euro" (to facilitate the patients' work). After this step, the first stage of treatment is to receive optometry and paraclinical imaging services. Then, the patient goes to the doctor's room with the hospital interpreter and after receiving the operation plan, goes to the intraocular surgery appointment department. Free transportation will be arranged for the day of surgery. After that, the patient goes to the relevant units with the interpreter for blood tests and heart consultation. The interpreter accompanies the patient on the day of surgery and also until discharge and taking medications, translates the medication orders and the doctor's recommendations after the operation, and reminds him of the time of follow-ups (post-surgery examinations). This process will continue until the end of the treatment stages.
Intraocular injection (Ayala and Avastin) appointment process for diabetic patients
If, after the examination, it is determined that the patient needs intraocular injections or eye lasers, the desired service appointment is coordinated and the interpreter accompanies the patient on the day of treatment. At this stage, the ophthalmologist's instructions are also followed up by the interpreter, translation, and other matters so that there is no ambiguity for the patient. It goes without saying that the patient's communication with the interpreter will be maintained after returning to his country so that in case of any questions or eye problems, the instructions of the treating ophthalmologist will be conveyed to the patient.
