Trans PRK Surgery

In PRK, the surface layer (epithelium) in the center of the cornea is first removed with a special tool. In the Trans-PRK method, or the No-Touch method, the surface layer (corneal epithelium) is removed with a laser instead of being removed manually with a tool, and therefore there is no discomfort during the procedure. Then, the surface of the cornea is cut using an excimer laser to precisely adjust its curvature. Finally, the lens is dressed. New epithelial cells grow back within five days, after which the dressing lens can be removed with the advice of the treating physician. There will be little pain during the procedure. The Trans-PRK method is an advanced and new method. In this method, there will be no contact with your eye (No-Touch) and all the above parts will be done with a laser (All-Laser), so you will not feel any pain during the procedure. The possibility of performing this procedure depends on the condition of your eyes and will be decided by your ophthalmologist. Avoid head and eye movements during the procedure and follow the instructions of the doctor at Noor Afarin Eye Clinic.
